the olympus has the fun and sony is more significant but has some downfalls ive heard about in reviews… which one particular is far better? i dont care about the income. i primarily would take this for vacations for high high quality picture/audio HD vids and high high quality photos as properly for several projects. … but also the sony has functions the olympus doesnt have but it DoEESNT HAVE A WIND FILTER!!! ugh … idk im extremely confused need to i just wait until the e-pl2 comes out and see what it has to offer you? if it doesnt come out by july and i havnt made up my mind i believe im just gonna go with a nikon p100…any thoughts? which would you favor or think would be a lot more usefuly for me?

A really close friend of my is a starting photographer and I’d like to get her a nice entry level/advanced camera. I want her to have far more features than the simple point and shoot, but not so advanced that it takes her a year to find out to use the camera before she can take her initial pic. She’s be using it for loved ones portraits, landscapes, nature and items like that…

I have narrowed it down to two alternatives:

Each excellent cameras. 1 factor though, do not get the p100, that’s a modest image sensor camera, it is no far better than a low-cost compact.

The oly and Sony are large image sensor compacts, and while each has its own pros and cons, the Sony wins for image quality. The sensor is bigger (APS-C versus micro four/3rds), and the Sony sensor is brand spankin’ new, the four/3rds sensors getting used aren’t specifically fresh out of the oven.

I’m partial to the Sony NEX over the existing micro 4/3rds. My largest gripe with any camera is the low light, high ISO performance and the noise. That may well not be on the top rated of your list, if it is, go with the NEX, if not concentrate on features and make a option.

What do you assume of the Panasonic GF1?

Olympus is undoubtedly a much better brand, but it does not have as a lot of megapixels as the kodak a single, which might be a difficulty if you program on blowing up your photographs much. Among them, I’d probably go with the Olympus as long as the zoom is comparable.

I want to get an Olympus Stylus camera since they are such a handy size and are waterproof which is amazing.
Ive been undertaking a ton of analysis to see if the Olympus Stylus 1010 is that significantly greater than the Stylus 840 or 830. I know the 1010 has 7x zoom and the other individuals are 5x….but other than that what is the most significant difference?

I’m obtaining ready to get a new camera. But I’m stuck in between 3. All I’ve ever had before are point & shoot cameras so this is my very first camera that is “larger and better.” I want one thing that is user-friendly and where I can manually set some stuff, but I do not want to have to set too significantly.
